Training and Background
Dr. Perez was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Puerto Rico. He completed his pre-medical studies with honors at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo and entered the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus in 1986, graduating with honors in 1990. During his internship at University Hospital he was elected Intern of the Year.
He completed his Internal Medicine residency in 1993 and his Dermatology residency in 1996, followed by a fellowship in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic skin surgery in 1997. He moved to North Texas that same year and began practicing in Flower Mound in 1999. In 2003 he acquired the practice and renamed it Flower Mound Dermatology.
